BSIS Journey!

An educational tour offers an opportunity for a rich interest, and a tremendous way to facilitate learning. In this educational tour, students have the chance to experience a culture of IT, connectig with the people and place on a much deeper level than they ever could in the classroom.

Objectives of the Tour

· To Relate on Different Issues of IT

· Instilling a Excitement for Travel

· Getting a New point of view on Technology

Tabaco Port ( 1st day)

(Sept. 2, 2012) 4:00 PM

We arrived at first day of tour (Sept. 2, 2012) at exactly 4:00 PM, at the Tabaco port being welcomed by the tour guides straight to Embarcadero for dinner and after dinner proceed to Manila.

Garden Plaza Hotel (2nd day)

(Sept. 3, 2012)

Second day (Sept. 3, 2012) at exactly 7:00 AM we checked in at Garden Plaza Hotel and ate our breakfast

Proceed to the first company which is the PAG-ASA. Long ride from Quezon City to PAG-ASA.

When we arrive, we have a brief discussion in weather forecasting and video presentation about the weather where it came from and made of and a 30 minutes tour with their facilities which are the servers and flat screen TV’s secured in air conditioned room to maintain the screen temperature so that the servers may not be overheat.

After PAG-ASA, we take our lunch.

After launch, we arrived at SEAMEO-INNOTECH exactly 2:00 PM. They greet us a very warm welcome and they prepared a very simple program and Mrs. Grace M. Cuadro, the Manager, Administrative Management Office (Office-in-Charge) had her welcome remarks. Our very own faculty Mrs. Belen Tapado introduced the participants of the Educational Tour. Next is a video presentation about SEAMEO INNOTECH, Followed by concise orientation of iFLEX Learning Solution by Mr. PIERANGELO B. ALEJO (Senior Specialist and Head). Last activity at SAEMEO INNOTECH, a tour of ICT facilities by Mrs. Maribelle A. Reyno at Educational Media Resources, Mr. Jelico Angelo V. Arriesgado at Learning Resource Center and Mr. Rolan M. Mallare at IT Infrastructure and Capability. After SEAMEO-INNOTECH, we have our mall tour at Trinoma Mall and back to accommodation for dinner and take a rest. End of first and second day tour at exactly 9:00 PM.

HYTEC Power and GMA studio (3rd day)

(Sept. 4, 2012)

On the third day of Tour (Sept. 4, 2012) we alarmed exactly 5:00 AM to prepare ourselves and take our breakfast .Exactly 7:00 AM we take a ride from Fairview Q.C to HYTEC Power. We are being tour by their equipments such as different kinds of printers, computer troubleshooting, computer systems, hard disk, DVD-RW disk etc. After the tour from their equipments, a power point presentation is being discussed about their company and CompTIA. We learn a lot from their discussions which we can apply in the field of IT in terms of technical services.

After learning new things from HYTEC Power, lunch is taken at exactly 12:00 noon. After lunch, GMA studio tour at exactly 5:00 PM, mall tour until 8:00 PM and back to accommodation for dinner and rest.

FUJITSU (4th day)

(Sept. 5, 2012)

Fourth day (Sept. 5, 2012) we alarmed exactly 6:00 Am for breakfast, 7:00 AM ride from Ortigas to FUJITSUIO. An orientation held at 16^th floor and office tour at 25^th floor. It is a strict company, so, no taking pictures inside the office. At the 25^th floor, the programmers are giving their careful attention on their tasks silently. After the FUJITSU 10 tour, we’ve got our lunch at the Infinity Lounge after lunch; proceed to Makati for TOEI animation. We did a lot of animated discussion that we enjoyed watching with some drawing exhibitions with their applications.

After showcasing some of their animated drawings to us we take our free time to go at Mall of Asia at exactly 8:30 PM, back to accommodation to eat our dinner and take a rest.

Pansol, Calamba, Laguna

September 6, 2012

Last day of educational tour dated on September 6, 2012, little time for mall tour 9:30 until 11:30 at Green Hills and at 11:30 AM back to accommodation for lunch and to check-out at Garden Plaza Hotel to proceed in our last side trip at Pansol, Calamba, Laguna. We’ve got to relax and ate our dinner at Luisa Ridge Hot Spring Resort and Spa, until 10:00 PM and from Laguna.
